SpaceX’s Starship reached Earth orbit for the first time during its 14th test flight and deployed 26 next-generation Starlink V3 satellites, marking the rocket’s first revenue-generating mission.

The flight was shortened from about 10 hours to three after one of Starship’s Raptor engines shut down early. Despite the issue, SpaceX completed orbital insertion, satellite deployment and a controlled splashdown north of Hawaii. The V3 satellites offer roughly 10 times the capacity of the previous generation.
