Starlink has reapplied to India’s space regulator for authorization to deploy its satellite constellation in the country, including direct-to-device connectivity services, according to a report cited by Reuters.

The application represents another step in SpaceX’s effort to establish Starlink in one of the world’s largest telecommunications markets. Regulatory approval would allow the company to expand its satellite broadband network and potentially introduce direct satellite connectivity for mobile devices in India.
