SpaceX Recovers Starship After 24 Days at Sea
SpaceX successfully towed the Starship upper stage from Flight 13 to waters near Christmas Island after the spacecraft spent roughly 24 days in the Indian Ocean following its July 24 splashdown.
The recovery gives engineers a rare opportunity to inspect a largely intact Starship after atmospheric re-entry, including its heat shield and structural components. SpaceX said engineers would analyze the vehicle in calmer waters before attempting to return it to Starbase.
