SpaceX has held internal discussions about purchasing customer and operational data from distressed or failed startups to improve its artificial intelligence models, according to Bloomberg.

The discussions are taking place within SpaceXAI and are aimed at obtaining large datasets at lower cost. The talks remain informal and may not result in transactions, but they underline SpaceX’s growing investment in AI alongside its satellite, launch and computing infrastructure businesses.
