Revolut received approval from the Central Bank of Argentina to acquire Banco Cetelem Argentina S.A. from BNP Paribas Personal Finance, clearing a major regulatory step toward launching banking operations in the country.

Following completion of the transaction, the lender will be renamed Revolut Bank Argentina S.A.U. Revolut has already attracted more than 150,000 people to its local waiting list, although the company has not yet announced a commercial launch date. Revolut
