Revolut Eyes Australia’s Mortgage Market After Securing Banking Licence
Revolut is considering entering Australia’s mortgage market as it expands its local banking offering following the banking licence received in July. Australia CEO Matt Baxby described mortgages as a natural next step as the company seeks to compete more directly with the country’s major retail banks.
Revolut already has around 1.2 million customers in Australia and has launched savings accounts and credit cards. Its Australian business generated A$70.8 million in revenue in 2025, up 74% YoY, and A$7.4 million in net profit.
