Revolut has formally applied to establish a banking branch in Finland as part of its broader European expansion strategy.

If approved, the branch would allow Revolut’s 250,000+ Finnish customers to receive local Finnish account numbers, simplifying salary payments and domestic bill management. The move follows Revolut’s recent French banking licence and supports its strategy of becoming a primary banking provider rather than mainly a payments and foreign-exchange platform.
