The Federal Aviation Administration completed an environmental review covering expanded Starship contingency landing areas across the Pacific and an additional reentry trajectory back to SpaceX’s Starbase facility in Texas.

The FAA issued a Finding of No Significant Impact and Record of Decision, allowing the agency to move forward with related modifications to SpaceX’s vehicle operator license. The decision provides SpaceX with greater flexibility for future Starship flight and recovery profiles.
