Databricks made Moonshot AI’s Kimi K3 open-weight model available through its Foundation Model API and Unity AI Gateway, expanding the range of third-party AI models accessible through its platform.

Kimi K3 is initially hosted by Databricks in the U.S. and can be used with the same governance, cost controls, guardrails and observability tools available for models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. Databricks said the model supports coding, agentic reasoning, document understanding and a one-million-token context window.
